EGH admin leads expedition trip

 TURA: With the growing concern over shortage of water supply in Williamnagar and to find the causes for depletion of water level at the source, the District Administration, East Garo Hills on Saturday organized an expedition trip to Chibok Dare under Integrated Basin Development & Livelihood Promotion Programme. It may be mentioned that Chibok Dare which is across the Simsang river is the only alternative source of water supply to Williamnagar. DC, East Garo Hills, V K Mantri himself lead the expedition team on foot which is around 12 km from Williamnagar to stress the need to find solution for the depletion in water level.

Additional DC, B K Hajong and over 200 students and NGOs also took part.
