Beneficiaries of Mission Jackfruit get machinery

SHILLONG, July 31: Select beneficiaries under Mission Jackfruit were provided machinery by the Directorate of Food Processing organised at the office of the Research Officer, District and Local Research Station and Laboratories, Sangsanggre, West Garo Hills recently.
The machineries given as grant to the eight selected beneficiaries are expected to enable them to start nano jackfruit processing units. These beneficiaries were previously trained by the College of Community Science, CAU, Tura, on processing jackfruit.
Mission Jackfruit aims at empowering over 200 entrepreneurs over a period of five years.
