SHILLONG, Aug 2: The Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF), West Jaintia Hills, has, based on an RTI finding, alleged that the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO), Jowai, has appointed 19 people without adhering to the laid down procedures.
Speaking to media persons on Tuesday, HNYF WJH president Howniwat Sutong informed that they have detected anomalies in the appointment of 19 people with the help of an RTI application, and have also raised the matter with the Director of Health Services.
“We have also demanded that the appointment of these 19 people be terminated immediately,” Sutong said, arguing that the filling-up of the vacant post should have gone through the District Selection Committee.
