SHILLONG: National carrier Air India is scheduled to resume its operations in the North Eastern region from July 1.
In a statement issued here on Friday, NEC member BK Chaturvedi informed that AIR would resume its operations from Shillong, Tezpur and Lilabari airport.
“Air India agreed to resume its service in the region following a recent discussion,” Chaturvedi said

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
