Lapang meets AICC gen secy

 SHILLONG: Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president D D Lapang on Friday met AICC General Secretary who is also in charge of the Congress President’s Office Ambika Soni.

Lapang apprised her of his meetings with Mukul Wasnik, Luizinho Faleiro and Oscar Fernandez.

He informed her that the Pradesh Congress Committee will be sending tri monthly reports of the Party activities and programs in the State as desired by the Vice President Rahul Gandhi.

These will be taken up in close coordination with the new AICC in charge Meghalaya, Luizinho Faleiro and the AICC Secretary in charge Meghalaya, Dr Vijay Laxmi Sadho. He also held discussions with Dr Sadho who will be accompanying Faleiro during the state visit.

As Chairman of the North East Congress Coordination Committee (NECCC) he also informed Ambika Soni that the meeting of the NECCC will be held next month to revamp and strengthen the Party in the 8 states of the North Eastern region.

They also discussed the MP elections pertaining to the State of Meghalaya and she advised the Party to work hard to win both the Shillong and Tura Parliamentary seats.
