SHILLONG: The HSPDP on Monday formed the party’s first Shillong unit having as many as 23 members who were elected as office bearers of this new unit.
The party’s new unit with Dr Kara Chen (associate professor) as its president was formed in a gathering held at Seminar Hall, State Central Library here on Monday in the presence of veteran policeman, HS Lyngdoh who is also the president of the HSPDP, HSPDP Parliamentary Party (PP) spokesperson Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit, party member Edwin Raswai and Fenela L Nonglait besides others.
The other members of the party included Prain Sing Syiemlieh as the vice president, James M Sun as the general secretary, Banri Wahlang as the assistant general secretary, Dominic S Wankhar as the publicity secretary among other executive members.
