SHILLONG, Dec 7: Arts and Culture Minister Sanbor Shullai on Wednesday visited North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) to meet two persons who were injured in the Mukroh shooting incident on November 22.
Speaking to media persons, Shullai informed that the duo will be discharged for now from the hospital and be re-admitted once the equipment for their surgery arrives.
“The condition of both of them is stable now. I would like to thank NEIGRIHMS for giving the best treatment to the two injured,” Shullai said, informing that the duo was provided help by the state government, social organisations and churches.
Shullai also provided financial assistance to the two injured.
Meanwhile, the Arts and Culture Minister, during his visit, also exhorted NEIGRIHMS authorities to conduct the written test for recruitment to various nursing posts.
Shullai also informed that local candidates, who recently applied for nursing posts in NEIGRIHMS, are faced with difficulties after discerning that their examination centres were allotted in Sibsagar and Nagaon of Assam.
