SHILLONG, Dec 28: The state police has registered the FIR filed by Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) seeking suitable legal action against Trinamool Congress leader Kirti Azad for mocking the traditional Khasi dress that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had donned during his visit to Shillong on December 18.
A police official on Wednesday said the FIR was received on Wednesday and police have taken up the case.
The HITO had filed the FIR at Sadar police station.
