SHILLONG, Jan 30: KHNAM, whose lone legislator, Adelbert Nongrum, resigned recently and joined the VPP, felt another body blow as over 60 supporters of the party from Jaiaw area joined the TMC in North Shillong on Monday.
The KHNAM supporters were formally received during a function in the presence of TMC state vice president, James S Lyngdoh, and party candidate from North Shillong, Elgiva G Rynjah.
It may be recalled that former KHNAM MLA Adelbert Nongrum formally joined the VPP during a public meeting at the Polo parking lot on January 16.
He has been officially named as the VPP candidate from North Shillong Constituency.
