SHILLONG, Feb 23: Former minister HDR Lyngdoh was on Thursday laid to rest at his native place in Sohiong.
Lyngdoh had passed away due to cardiac arrest on Monday.
Meanwhile, hundreds of the supporters of Lyngdoh on Thursday gathered at Shilliang Dongki, Sohiong, to prevent NPP candidate Samlin Malniang from visiting Lyngdoh’s residence and paying tribute to him.
One of the supporters said they were not going to compromise with Malniang since he had not come to terms with Lyngdoh while he was still alive.
