SHILLONG: The ANVC-B has asked GNLA C-in-C Sohan D Shira to reconsider the outfit’s invitation to join the ongoing peace process with the government

The GNLA leader had earlier out rightly rejected the ANVC-B’s offer of joining the ongoing peace process

According to ANVC-B, Sohan must understand that he was one of the signatories of the ANVC’s ceasefire agreement in 2004.

“Asking for talks with the Government when we have an option to come overground and start building our society through the promised opportunities of the settlement will eat away many more years, not to mention atrocities, conflicts and killings in the name of anti insurgency operations,” outfit said.

The ANVC-B said that Sohan need to consider the general longing of the people for peace by coming to one platform and work for the best of our people’s interest and there is no hidden agenda in outfits intention to include Sohan other than to work together and share same status in building up our society which is in need of true and dynamic leaders.
