SHILLONG, March 11: The Business Advisory Committee (BAC), a new body of the Assembly, has been constituted and will be headed by Speaker Thomas A. Sangma as its chairman.
Other members in the Committee include Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Parliamentary Affairs, Prestone Tynsong, UDP legislator Lahkmen Rymbui, senior TMC legislator Charles Pyngrope and Congress legislator Dr. Celestine Lyngdoh.
Meanwhile, official sources on Saturday informed that the new body is scheduled to meet at 2.30 pm on Monday to finalise the calendar of the upcoming Budget session, which is likely to begin from March 20.
