Shillong, April 12: In a major spike in Coronavirus cases across the country, 7830 new cases were reported in last 24 hours.
The number of active cases exceeded 40,000. There are now 40,215 active Covid cases in India as per government data.
According to information from the Union Ministry of Health, the weekly positivity rate was 3.83% and the daily positivity rate was 3.65%.
According to the Ministry, the country on Tuesday reported 5,676 new cases of Covid-19 in the previous 24 hours.
