Actor Nitesh Pandey passes away due to cardiac arrest

Shillong, May 24: The day started with bad news coming from the film and television industry.

Actor Nitesh Pandey from the television series Anupamaa passed away today, following the deaths of Aditya Singh Rajput and Vaibhavi Upadhyay.

He was well-known for playing Dheeraj Kapoor in Rupali Ganguly’s popular television programme. Nitesh suffered a heart arrest and died at the age of 51. He passed away while he was at Igatpuri, Mumbai.

In 1990, Nitesh Pandey started acting in plays. He performed in the 1995 film Tejas as a detective. In serials like Manzilein Apani Apani, Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani, Saaya, Justajoo, and Durgesh Nandini, Nitesh Pandey has worked.

He also contributed to the films Om Shanti Om and Badhaai Do. In addition, he was the owner of Dream Castle Productions, an independent production company. Everyone praised his performance in Khosla Ka Ghosla. He last appeared in Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara and Anupama. For the past 25 years, he has been a well-known face on Indian television.

Nitesh, who was married to Arpita Pandey, an actress whom he met on the TV programme Justajoo, came from Almora Kumaon in Uttrakhand. They were married in 2003.
