Free screening
Roko Cancer Charitable Trust, Tura Centre, in collaboration with NRHM Urban Health Centre, Matchakolgre, Tura, is conducting a free screening for Oral, Breast and Cervix cancer at the NRHM Urban Health Centre, Matchakolgre, Tura, on August 31 from 9 am to 4 pm.
Championship
The Meghalaya Body Building Association under the authority of IBBF will be hosting the 39th State Body Building Championship and the 33rd State Yogasana championship from September 28.
Camping
The NSS unit of Shillong College concluded its seven-day special camping programme on August 24 at Nongmadan village, East Khasi Hills. Various activities including construction of a village footpath were undertaken. A farmers’ training programme and a free medical camp were conducted in collaboration with the Government Department and Bansara Eye Clinic, respectively.
Exhibition
A state-level exhibition for inspire awardees 2012-2013 will be organized by the Directorate of School Education and Literacy on August 27 at Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides HQ, Pine Mount Ridge, Laban at 10 am.
