SHILLONG: The two-day intensive seminar on development of postal business in North Eastern postal region concluded on Tuesday in Shillong which saw the participation of many senior market functionaries of the North east region.
The major thrust of this seminar was on equipping the postal officers to face the emerging challenges of a competitive era.
Addressing the gathering, Additional Chief Secretary Barkos Warjri stated that post offices in the northeastern part of the country play a crucial role in socio-economic development and maintaining quality of services will ensure better postal business.
He also advised the participants to develop a sense of belonging, participation with commitment in order to serve the nation in a much better way.
