Boys Sports join Lajong in next year’s SPL

Untitled-6 copySHILLONG: Boys Sports Company defeated Imson 3-0, thereby reaching the final of the First Division football league of the Shillong Sports Association.

The match was a virtual semifinal; the winner would have claimed second place in the standings.

Boys Sports will face Shillong Lajong FC for the title on August 31 at 3pm at the JN Sports Complex, Polo.

No matter the result, both teams have qualified for next year’s Shillong Premier League, while Umpling and Umphrup have been relegated to the Second Division.

Meanwhile, Mawshbuit were relegated from the Second Division after losing out to Mawpat 1-0.

Dawanpleilad Myrshong’s late 79th minute conversion saw Mawpat home.

On Wednesday, Mylliem play Umphyrnai at 12:45pm, Nongrim Hills face Lama Villa at 2pm and Madan-riting play Nongrah at 4pm.
