Harry Styles hit in the face again while on stage
Singer-actor Harry Styles was hit in the face with an object during a performance in Austria, recently. The former One Direction singer, 29, was seen wincing in pain on stage before bending over while clutching his face in his hands. Video footage shared online from the gig in Vienna shows the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker walking across the stage before an item flies through the air and strikes him near his eye, reports Mirror.co.uk. Harry was performing at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Austria’s capital city on Saturday, as the star’s lengthy Love On Tour continues across the world. (IANS)

Gladiator star Joaquin Phoenix and director Ridley Scott have reunited to conquer one more historical military epic, reports Variety. Sony and Apple have released the first trailer for Napoleon, directed by Scott and starring Phoenix as iconic French commander Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon, according to the film’s official logline as quoted by Variety, “is an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his swift, ruthless climb to emperor, viewed through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine. “The film captures Napoleon’s famous battles, relentless ambition and astounding strategic mind as an extraordinary military leader and war visionary.” (IANS)

 

Ghoomer to open 14th edition of Indian Film Festival of Melbourne
The upcoming film Ghoomer, which stars Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, Angad Bedi, and Shabana Azmi, is set to open the 14th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). The festival is set to be held from August 11 to August 20, 2023. The film tells the story of a paraplegic sports person portrayed by Saiyami Kher, who excels as a cricketer under the guidance of her coach, played by Abhishek Bachchan. The film has been directed by R. Balki. Balki and Abhishek Bachchan said in a joint statement: “It’s indeed an honour and pleasure for us that Ghoomer will be the opening film at the IFFM. Ghoomer is a story of turning adversity into advantage. A story of innovation and resilience. (IANS)
