Shillong, July 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke his silence on the ongoing Manipur violence, expressing his sorrow and anger over the video showing two women being paraded naked. He declared that no rapists would escape punishment and urged everyone to put aside politics and unite in protecting women.

As per India Today, the Manipur incident, which occurred two months ago, has caused immense tension in the hilly regions. The disturbing video surfaced on the internet, revealing the horrifying incident that transpired on May 4 in Kangpokpi district, following a day of violence in the north-eastern state.
