Shillong, September 7: The Jana Jagarana Samiti, a non-profit organization, has stirred controversy by announcing a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for anyone willing to slap Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader and Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin in response to his controversial remarks regarding Sanatana Dharma.

As per India Today, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, created a firestorm when he suggested that Sanatana Dharma is incompatible with the concept of social justice and should be “eliminated.” He even drew unsettling comparisons between Sanatana Dharma and diseases like dengue and malaria, leading to sharp criticism from BJP leaders.

In his statement, Udhayanidhi remarked, “Sanatana is like malaria and dengue and so it must be eradicated rather than opposed.” This incendiary comment prompted a significant backlash, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accusing him of making a “genocidal call.”

Religious leaders also condemned Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks. Isckon-Kolkata Vice-President Radharaman Das expressed strong disapproval, stating, “We are going to write to the Prime Minister on the issue so that legal action is taken. He is, after all, the CM’s son and a minister.”
