Shillong, September 8: Mallikarjun Kharge, the Congress President and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, has reportedly not received an invitation to the dinner to be hosted by the President on Saturday.

As per IANS, sources from Kharge’s office confirmed this, stating, “As of Friday morning, he has not been invited for the dinner hosted by the President.”

Earlier in the week, a Congress source had revealed that several Union ministers and chief ministers had received invitations to the President’s dinner, but Kharge had not been included on the guest list. However, it was mentioned that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had received an invitation.

The G20 Summit is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 9-10, with India holding the Presidency this year.
