Rape
- A woman lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on September 12 at around 5.30 pm, one Heprit Shangpliang raped her in a jungle near Mawlai petrol pump.
- One Bhaskar Chakravorty lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that three persons, Ashit Chanda, Raju and Raj had raped a minor (14) during the last one year. The accused persons had also threatened to upload her nude photograph in the internet.
Attempted Rape
On September 13 at around 6.30 pm, one Blingly Lyngdoh Marshillong (35) attempted to rape a woman aged (20) at Wahsiej (SWKH).
Arrests
Police arrested one Skolin Janong in connection with a complaint filed in Laitumkhrah police station regarding outraging the modesty of a woman.
Man stabbed
On September 16 at about 6.30 pm, one unidentified woman stabbed one Fulstar Marbaniang (24) at Mawlonghat. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and shifted to CH, Shillong.
Murder attempt
On September 16 circa 11 pm, one Laxmi Kaur (36) poured kerosene on her daughter, Poonam Kaur (19) and attempted to burn her at Sweeper Colony, Bara Bazar.
Seized
BSF troops of Gumaghat in South West Khasi Hills on Tuesday launched a special operation and seized 409.28 CFT of wooden logs worth Rs 4,09,280.
Attack
One Diren Patro lodged a complaint at Dawki PS that on September 11 at about 8.30 pm, two Bangladeshi nationals attacked him with a dao near Kyrweng Amjalong village (WJH). As a result, he sustained injuries.
Theft
- One Armstrong Lyngdoh lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that one Donald Lyngdoh and his two accomplices stole two batteries, diesel, one stove and tool-kits from his truck (ML-10A-4618) and also threatened him at Mawlai Mawiong Rim. Police arrested the accused and one accomplice, Shemphang Dkhar.
- On September 14 at around 1 am, one Jembu and his accomplices broke into Samshan Bhumi Temple at Gouriya Math, Tura (WGH) and stole one box containing Rs. 10,000 and other items.
- On September 5, one Banrap Myrshiang stole Rs. 75,000 from the house of one Clilut Thubru at Umshyngiar Namdong-B (WJH). On September 13, the villagers apprehended the accused.
