Jowai girl tops MBA prog at Assam Don Bosco University

JOWAI, Sep 24: In a first for Meghalaya, a local girl from Jowai, Dorothy Roy Tariang, has been awarded gold medal for topping the MBA programme of the Assam Don Bosco University.
She secured the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 9.29 out of 10. Born to Dr Iwbih Nylla Tariang, a Senior Veterinary Officer, and journalist father Dr Anirban Roy, Dorothy hails from Mynthong in Jowai.
She did her specialisation in Human Resource Management. Dorothy was awarded the gold medal during the 12th Convocation of the Assam Don Bosco University held at Tapesia campus near Guwahati on Saturday. Euphoric with the success, Dorothy said she would like to work for the development of the people of Meghalaya. Before joining the MBA programme, she has completed her graduation in English Literature from Amity University.
Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, who is also the Visitor of Assam Don Bosco University, gave away awards to the toppers.
