Itanagar: Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Ninong Ering has asked the works departments to expedite the projects taken under the MP local area development (MPLAD) schemes so as to complete those developmental projects on time.

“Expedite the schemes and projects so that the public do not suffer but get the maximum benefits due to them,” Ering told the implementing agencies while addressing a review meeting on MPLAD schemes at Pasighat in East Siang district yesterday. Besides seeking status reports and financial position of the ongoing projects, the minister instructed the executing agencies to complete the schemes as per norms.

He also said that they have to ensure timely submission of completion report and utilization certificate so that next installment can be obtained on time, official sources said here on Thursday. (PTI)
