Shillong, October 24: HD Kumaraswamy, a prominent JD(S) leader, didn’t hold back when he criticized Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of being a modern-day incarnation of Mir Sadiq.

As per IANS, Kumaraswamy used social media to dub Siddaramaiah as “the modern reincarnation of Mir Sadiq.” Mir Sadiq was a minister during Tipu Sultan’s rule who conspired with the British, and his name is associated with treachery.

Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy have had a contentious relationship over the past few years and have frequently exchanged verbal jabs.

In response to Kumaraswamy’s allegation that Siddaramaiah was responsible for the fall of the JD(S) government, Siddaramaiah retorted by likening it to blaming the stage when one can’t dance, stating that Kumaraswamy’s allegations were baseless.

Regarding Kumaraswamy’s criticism of Siddaramaiah for watching the Australia-Pakistan cricket match, Siddaramaiah defended his support for the sport and questioned why Kumaraswamy had stayed at the Westend hotel during his tenure as CM. Kumaraswamy had alleged that Siddaramaiah and his cabinet colleagues were there to support the Pakistan cricket team.

In response to Siddaramaiah’s comments, Kumaraswamy maintained that Siddaramaiah was the one who brought down the JD(S)-Congress coalition government and accused him of betrayal. He challenged Siddaramaiah to openly acknowledge his role in the government’s downfall and questioned whether he had the courage to share the conspiracies he allegedly hatched.
