SHILLONG: Gayatri Nair, a class 4 student of Loreto Convent won the gold medal in 10-metre air pistol shooting (women) at the All Assam Shooting Championship 2013.
Gayatri also stood first among all categories of sub junior and senior women.
The IX All Assam State Shooting Championship was held at in Guwahati from September 27-29, organised by the Assam Rifle and Shooting Association . Gayatri took part in the competition as a part of the 58 GTC team.
In the final competition for the Champion of Champions competition she won champion in the 10m air pistol shooting event held on September 29.
The GTC team won seven medals in the 10m air pistol and rifle competititon (men) in different categories.
