SSA U-16 football 2023 to start in second week of January

Shillong, Dec 5: The eagerly anticipated U-16 Football Tournament 2023, organized by the Shillong Sports Association, is set to kick off in the second week of January 2024. To ensure a competitive and fair selection process, the association has scheduled player screenings for all participating teams on December 15th, 2023.
Teams are permitted to register a maximum of 25 players for the screening and medical test, with the final registration limited to 20 players who successfully pass the medical examination.
A registration fee of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty) per player is applicable, payable on the screening day by those who qualify for the tournament.It is mandatory for each team to have a minimum of 16 players pass the medical test to be eligible for participation.
Teams failing to meet this criterion, with more than 16 players not passing the medical test, will be disqualified from the tournament.
The clubs are instructed to report for screening and medical tests at the Shillong Sports Association Polo Ground on Friday, December 15, starting from 10.00 AM onwards. Clubs are requested to bring both the original and photocopies of birth certificates issued by the competent authority, along with the Aadhaar Card of all participating players (born on or after January 1, 2008). Notably, school certificates will not be accepted.
