One held in Gogamedi murder case
Jaipur, Dec 9: A man was arrested here for allegedly contracting shooters to kill Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the state police chief said here on Saturday. Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said Ramveer Jat, one of the conspirators in the Gogamedi murder case, was arrested on Saturday. Ramveer Jat is from Sureti Pilaniyan village of Mahendragarh district of Haryana, he said. Gogamedi was brazenly gunned down by two men, alleged to have been identified as Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathore, on Tuesday. According to the police, Ramveer Jat had prepared the groundwork for Nitin Fauji, his friend, in Jaipur ahead of the killing. After the incident, Ramveer Jat took to road with Nitin and Rohit on a motorcycle and got them on a Rajasthan Roadways bus. (PTI)
Gang carts away ATM with
Rs 26.58 lakh
Latur, Dec 9: Four to five persons, including one wearing a tiger mask, stole Rs 26.58 lakh from an ATM machine in Latur in Maharashtra, a police official said on Saturday. The incident took place at 1:50am on Friday in Shirur-Tajband on Nanded-Bidar highway, Assistant Inspector Balaji Totewad of Ahmedpur police station said. “They tied the ATM machine with a cord and uprooted it by pulling it with a four wheeler parked by them outside the kiosk. They carted away the ATM with Rs 26.58 lakh in the four wheeler. Oneperson was wearing a tiger mask, while another had a cap, muffler and gloves,” he said. (PTI)
Kota schoolgirl hangs self
Kota, Dec 9: A 15-year-old schoolgirl allegedly hanged herself from the ceiling fan of her room in Bapu Colony here, police said on Saturday. The reason behind the suicide by the class 10 student of a government school is yet to be ascertained. According to police, Nikita Koli returned home after school Friday afternoon and went to her room, where she hanged herself from a ceiling fan with her ‘chunni’. Nikita was rushed to MBS Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead, police said. (PTI)
