Meghalaya State Karate Championship gets underway

Shillong, Dec 15: Meghalaya State Karate Championship 2023 got underway at indoor hall, JN stadium on Friday.

Altogether 350 plus karatekas from across the State are taking part in the two-day event is organise by the All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association, the prestigious event with the support from the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya.

Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation Limited co-chairmen, Ransom Sutnga and Meghalaya State Olympics Association working president, John Kharshiing graced the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honour.

The Indoor Hall at J.N. Stadium, Polo Ground, Shillong, is all set to be the battleground where karatekas from across the state will converge to compete for top honors.

The Indoor Hall at J.N. Stadium, known for hosting various sporting events, is expected to buzz with energy as competitors engage in spirited contests across different categories during the two days.
