Search on for man buried alive at Marten

SHILLONG, Feb 4: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was pressed into action on Sunday to search for a missing man at the landfill site at Marten. The SDRF was activated by the East Khasi Hills District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
30-year-old Marshall Marwein, a garbage collector residing in Mawiong, was buried alive when a large pile of garbage collapsed on him at the landfill site on Saturday noon.
The SDRF team led by B Sahkhar, 2nd in Command of SDRF is conducting the search and rescue operation at Marten along with staff from the Shillong Municipal Board.
