Guwahati hosts 11th TG Baruah Memorial T20

Shillong, Feb 23: Amidst their busy schedules, media professionals have come together to partake in the 11th edition of the TG Baruah Memorial T20 Media Cricket Tournament 2024, hosted in Guwahati.
The tournament, which commenced on February 21st, is being held at the historic Judges Field and is scheduled to continue until February 28th.
This year’s event has drawn participation from 11 teams, comprising both senior and junior journalists representing various media outlets in Guwahati, including those from media houses outside the region.
Susmita Goswami, the President of the Guwahati Press Club, underscored the importance of sports engagement for journalists. She remarked, “As journalists, our schedules are often packed with responsibilities, but participating in a media cricket tournament is a positive endeavor. Sports not only foster physical and mental well-being but also foster camaraderie among us. Cricket and sports play a vital role in the lives of media professionals.”
The tournament serves as a platform for media personnel to showcase their sporting prowess and engage in friendly competition, fostering a sense of community among participants.
