SHILLONG: After the inauguration of the platinum jubilee celebration last October 27, the observance of the event by Mawlai Parish entered the last phase of its schedule for the current year.
The pending activities are the blessing and inauguration of the new church of the Catholic Managing Committee (CMC) Mawpun, Umroi ,Ri-Bhoi, on November 17 at 10:30 a.m. In the afternoon of the same day and at the same venue, there will be an evangelical prayer service, on the topic of faith. The following Sunday, there will be annual feast of the adult Catholic men association specially earmarked as fathers’ day, in the Parish premises . On December 1, the new Parish at Umbir, Ri-Bhoi will be formally inaugurated and bifurcated from the parent parish of Mawlai. On December 2, the parish level indoor games competitions will begin followed by a Gospel concert on December 24 at 1:00 p.m.
