M’laya Basketball trials from today

Shillong, April 5: Meghalaya Basketball Association is gearing up for participation in the prestigious 74th Junior National Basketball Championship, set to be hosted by the Basketball Federation of India in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, from May 8 to 14, 2024.
In preparation for this esteemed tournament, the association has announced the commencement of selection trials for both boys and girls. The first trial, catering to players from Garo Hills, is scheduled to take place on April 6, 2024, at Don Bosco College Tura, starting from 1:30 PM onwards. Following this, the main selection trial is slated for April 11, 2024, at St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School in Shillong, commencing at 9:30 AM.
Eligibility criteria dictate that players born on or after January 1, 2006, are eligible to participate. It is mandatory for participants to furnish their original documents during the registration process, with birth certificates required to be dated within 5 years of their birth.
Selected players will be required to attend training sessions commencing from April 15, 2024, onwards. This rigorous preparation period aims to hone the skills and abilities of the chosen athletes in anticipation of the upcoming championship.
