SHILLONG: UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh on Tuesday denied that Governor Dr KK Paul had urged the opposition MLAs not to support bandhs and blockades which are against the law of the land.

“He (Dr Paul) had only asked the MLAs that they should condemn any action which leads to law and order problem. As the Opposition, we have always been condemning such incidents,” Lyngdoh, who was present when the MPF delegation met Governor on Monday, said.

Earlier, the DIPR release had stated that the Governor asked the MLAs to refrain from supporting bandhs and blockades.
