17 member M’laya squad leave for Natl Karate C’ship

Shillong, May 5: A team of 17 Karatekas of the Meghalaya State Karate Do Federation (MSKDF) will compete in the All India KIO National Karate Championshiop 2024, at Parade Ground in Dehradun on May 8, 2024. The team is led by Bajoplin Kharmudai (team manager) and Francis RR Songthiang.
The championship, which includes Cades, Junior and Senior (Male and Female) categories, is hosted by Uttrakhand Karate Association, sanctioned by the Karate India Organisation (KIO). The winner of the championship will be selected for various Karate championships outside the country and also the National Games to be held in Uttakhand later this year, MSKDF said on Tuesday.

Daka I Paka Lyngdoh of St Francis, Smit; Ibakordor Kharwanlang of Providence School, Laitumkhrah; Juliana Blah of Madanrting Presbyterian Higher Secondary School; Ngibanylla Iawim of St George’s Higher Secondary School, Nongmensong; Espiranza Songthiang of St Mary’s College; Daomanmi Mynsong of Good Shepherd Higher Secondary School, Jongksha; Arkinkhraw Dkhar and Banmankhraw Dkhar of St. Edmund’s Higher Secondary School; Steven K Thabah of Deni Linda Persara Secondary, Laikor; Teinial Marboh of Christ Church Higher Secondary School, Mawlai; Pyndaplang Marak of Nongthymmai Govt Secondary School; Luckystar Kharmudai of Madanrting Presbyterian Higher Secondary School; Kyrshanbor R Songthiang of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School; and Glorin Ingti.
