SHILLONG: Five persons have been arrested for allegedly damaging the house and a vehicle (ML05 F 7433) of one Lynta Nongrang on July 23 night at Mawjongka village, East Khasi Hills district.
According to the FIR lodged by Nongrang at Laban Police Station, the miscreants –Khlursteo Jana, Stoten Jana, Kennadit Jana, Phrabor Jana and Kesterstar Jana, armed with ‘daos’ (spade), even threatened her family members with dire consequences.
Meanwhile, a source in the Laban PS said that it was a family matter and all the five arrested persons were the relatives of the complainant.
