Federation Cup to kickoff on January 14

SHILLONG: The next edition of the Federation Cup will begin on January 14 at two locations in Kerala featuring two Shillong-based clubs, but not Langsning FC.
Sixteen teams have been divided among four groups, it was announced on the All India Football Federation (AIFF) website on Friday.
Shillong Lajong FC and Rangdajied United FC are taking part, along with another team from the North East – United Sikkim.
With the withdrawal of Langsning from the tournament (as well the 2nd Division League), the AIFF has decided that Eagles FC of Kerala will replace the former in the Fed Cup’s Group A.
Group A: Churchill Brothers, United SC, Pune FC, Eagles FC
Group B: Rangdajied United, Sporting Clube de Goa, East Bengal, Bengaluru FC
Group C: Shillong Lajong, Salgaocar, Mohun Bagan, Mumbai FC
Group D: Dempo, Mohammedan Sporting, Bhawanipore FC, United Sikkim.
