Disturbance at grocery store leads to medical intervention

SHILLONG, July 25: A disturbance at a grocery shop at Laitumkhrah Beat House junction led to police intervention and subsequent medical treatment for a mentally distressed individual, initially perceived to be a trouble-maker. The incident was reported to Laitumkhrah Police Station, prompting officers to respond swiftly to the scene.
Upon investigation, officers identified the individual in question as Bishar Dame Suchiang, a resident of Shangpung, West Jaintia Hills, Jowai. It was determined that Suchiang was suffering from a mental health issue. He was promptly transported to MIMHANS Hospital in Shillong for medical evaluation and admitted for further treatment.
Authorities have asked the family members or relatives of Bishar Dame Suchiang to immediately contact either the Officer-In-Charge of Laitumkhrah PS or the MIMHANS Hospital Authority for further information and support.
