Projects worth Rs 100 cr in the works in South Shillong: Sanbor

SHILLONG, Aug 1: Developmental projects worth over Rs 100 crore are being implemented in South Shillong, local MLA Sanbor Shullai said on Thursday. The total cost of the project is Rs 107 crore.
Speaking to media persons after reviewing the projects in the constituency, Shullai said some of the major projects include motorable roads, link roads, drainage system etc., with a cost of Rs 48 crore. A cultural complex of Seng Khasi Ri-Raid Laban is being taken up at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
According to Shullai, the construction of a municipal shopping complex including a parking lot is also being taken up at Iew Dak at a total cost of Rs 14 crore. As far as health sector is concerned, a 10-bed Urban Primary Health Centre is also being constructed at Lumparing costing Rs 4.9 crore. A synthetic football turf and other works on Madan Laban playground is also in works and will cost Rs 6.3 crore.
In addition, development and rejuvenation of three parks are also being taken up at a cost of Rs 1.1 crore.
