ANVC observes 19th Raising Day

TURA: Achik National Volunteers Council Chairman Susime Marak on Friday expressed his disappointment over the delay of the final settlement between the Centre, State and the outfit during the observation of the outfits’ 19th Raising Day at Ballonggre near here.
Expressing concern and disappointment Marak stated that though the centre, state and the ANVC had signed the agreement early this January the final settlement was yet to happen.
He however stated that the steps taken by both the state and the centre governments were appreciated and hoped that the final settlement would come soon.
Commending the cadres for their patience ANVC Commander in Chief Jakpa Momin and ANVC General Secretary Wanding Marak urged them to wait a little more as the final settlement was within grasp.
Earlier, Momin elaborated on the history of the ANVC while 2nd Lieutenants Bandi Momin and Chegan Marak read the scriptures and ended the meeting with a prayer respectively. Among others who attended the foundation day were the ANVC’s Deputy Cin C Chenang Marak, Joint Secretary Janggam Momin, Political Secretary Doreng Malja Sangma, Publicity Secretary Arist Sengsrang Sangma, Assistant Publicity Secretary Tengcha Sangma, Cultural Secretary Rocky Sangma, Assistant Intelligence Officer Jodoreng Marak and more than 500 of the outfits’ army and civilian cadres.
