Outfit cries foulplay
SHILLONG: The breakaway faction of the ANVC on Thursday said that three of its cadres including two women have gone missing while they were coming back to the camp after shopping for the “new year feast”.
“Three of our cadres did not return to the camp on New Year’s eve,” the ANVC -B said.
In a statement issued here, the ANVC-B also called upon all its ‘officers’ and cadres to report to the camp before January 7.
“This is an emergency call. Those who fail to report will be listed as absconding or as deserters and action will be taken as par the organization’s law,” the ANVC-B leader Doang Shira said.
Commenting on the three missing cadres, Shira said, “We are yet to ascertain how many might have gone missing between Christmas and new year as we are unable to make any contacts and we fear the worse. Our cadres were targeted by police when they visited home for Christmas”.
The militant outfit also alleged that one of its cadres Dingdo was chased by the occupants of two pulsar bikes and one maruti car which belonged to the ANVC cadres.
The incident took place between Youth Hostel and the ANVC-B camp at Edenbari, the ANVC-B said.
