SHILLONG: A local herbal practitioner Lovelystar Khongjoh (45) was brutally murdered at Lyngshing village under Mawkynrew Block in East Khasi Hills on December 24.
Sources on Friday informed that Khongjoh who hailed from Umblai village had gone to Lyngshing for some of work on December 24.
Sources suspect that the local herbal practitioner might have been murdered while he was returning home.
“The murder of Khongjoh was finally confirmed when some of the villagers found one of his leg lying near one of the internal roads leading to Lyngshing village,” sources said.
According to sources, the villagers along with the police conducted a search to find the body of Khongjoh.
During the search, they could recover only certain parts of the body of Khongjoh, sources informed that while adding that majority of the body parts are still missing.
