The tournament, hosted by the Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA), will run until October 4, with all matches being played at the Pahamsning Cricket Ground in Nongkhrah, Ri-Bhoi.
Fans can catch the action live through the Cricheroes app.Serving as a key preparation event, the tournament sets the stage for the BCCI’s Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, which will open the domestic women’s cricket calendar for the 2024-25 season next month.Besides Meghalaya, the other NECDC states competing in the tournament include Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim.
The teams are divided into two groups—Group A consists of Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur, while Group B features Nagaland, Mizoram, and Sikkim.
Efforts to promote women’s cricket have been strong in each of these six states, with notable progress made in recent years.
