HPC elects new Headman and other members

SHILLONG, Sep 29: The Harijan Panchayat Committee has elected its new headman after the demise of ex-Headman Billu Singh. Santosh Singh was elected as the new Headman during the general body meeting held at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar, Bara Bazar’s Community Hall, on Sunday.
Other elected members of the committee include Sukhwinder Singh (Deputy Headman), Gurjit Singh (general secretary), Sangam Singh (secretary), Ashish Masih (joint secretary), Ajay Singh (treasurer), Sahil Singh (assistant treasurer), Jagir Singh (senior advisor), Pirthi Das, Bachan Masih, and Ratan Masih (advisors), beside other members.
