SHILLONG: Police carried out raid against use of illicit liquor in parts of city on Saturday.
In a raid carried out in Madanryting, police arrested Dolma Lama of Sand Restaurant and seized 2065 ml of IMFl. Police also arrested Double D Restaurant Owner S Lama (2700ml IMFL), Dohling Restaurant owner E Kharkongor (2020ml IMFL), and Kalsang Restaurant owner T Doma ( 5305ml IMFL) During a raid in Dhobi Ghat , Laban police seized 3000ml of IMFL which was abandoned.
Liquor raid was also conducted at Polo Bazar and police seized 4790ml IMFL and 1200ml white country made liquor. Four accused persons, Alex Mukhim, Minu Basumatari, Monika Boro and Nisha Marbaniang, all from Polo Bazar, were arrested .
