SHILLONG, Oct 13: A fire broke out at the OB Shopping Mall in Khyndai Lad on Sunday morning.
As per report, the fire started from the kitchen of Grove Eatery, a restaurant located inside the shopping mall.
According to police, the firemen initially could not enter the building as the gates were blocked.
The fire crew managed to douse the flames by spraying water from outside the building.
Police said the fire was caused by electric short circuit, which damaged the heavy-duty exhaust fan on the terrace. There was no major damage to the building.
