NONGPOH, Oct 31: Ri Bhoi College concluded its College Week with a spirited closing ceremony on campus, following a week of festivities that began on October 25. Organised by the Ri Bhoi College Students’ Union under the theme “The dreams of today are the realities of tomorrow,” the event celebrated the college’s founding vision, achievements, and aspirations for the future.
The closing ceremony welcomed Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem as chief guest, with former Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, RR Makdoh, as guest of honour. Principal EC Benny, faculty members, students, and dignitaries were also in attendance. Throughout the week, students showcased their talents across a wide range of activities, including poetry, quizzes, group singing, sports, debate, story writing, chess, drawing, dance, and more.
A highlight of the day was the felicitation of several key individuals who contributed to the college’s establishment, along with the distribution of prizes to winners of various competitions.
In his address, Principal EC Benny praised the collaborative efforts of teachers, staff, and students in organizing the event and highlighted recent advancements at the college, made possible with the support of MLA Mayralborn Syiem.
