(Hopefully) Back to quiet nights!
After the festive showdown of Diwali and All Souls’ Day, marked by bright lights, booming crackers, and skyrocketing flower prices, it looks like we’re finally heading back to quieter nights. And no one is more grateful than the dogs, who’ve spent the last week in a state of panic, whimpering and hiding from the relentless noise of firecrackers.
The celebrations kicked off on Wednesday and, the festivity stamina, lasted all the way through Sunday. The question, though, is whether it’s ever truly possible to stop our neighbors from setting off just one more Anar. Guess, it’s not.
Now, as the last embers fade and the nights turn quieter, our furry friends can finally stretch out, tails wagging in relief.
For our pets, and maybe for our wallets too, it’s time to rest easy, until the next celebration comes knocking.

Are we stuck in a time machine?
It’s hard to believe, but 2024 is already packing up, and 2025 is peeking around the corner. Didn’t we just blink and realize that the last elections were not this February, but last February?
From grand promises of “development” and “employment” that you can only spot if you are dreaming, to traffic jams that seem to have their own growth graph, it’s been a blend of ‘Did that really happen?’ and ‘Wait, what did happen?’ As we march toward the New Year, there’s plenty to anticipate. Like the legendary Bryan Adams making his grand return to serenade us or Akon belting out those ‘90s hits for a nostalgia trip.
But let’s not forget, Christmas is around the corner too, with cherries blossoming at full tilt. And probably witnessing some iconic buildings around Don Bosco Square crumbling into history. And a concrete building redefining It instead. Are we indeed ready for the whirlwind?
