SHILLONG, Nov 6: East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Annual Eucharistic Procession, which will be held on November 10 at Laitumkhrah Cathedral.
Owing to the procession, the restrictions have been announced for vehicular movement while parking areas have been designated to ensure a smooth event.
According to the advisory, vehicular entry will be restricted in key areas, including from Don Bosco Junction towards Dhankheti from 9 am onwards, from Don Bosco towards 7th Day Adventist Church Junction starting at 12 pm, from Dhankheti towards Fire Brigade and from Gurudwara Junction towards Don Bosco Square via Shillong College from 3:30 pm until the end of the procession.
A total of 20 parking zones have been designated for the event, including Don Bosco Mini Stadium, St. Edmund’s Campus, Fire Brigade (Madan Iewrynghep), Christ King College and Loreto School Parking Lot.
However, emergency service vehicles will have access throughout the event.
