Aizawl: Two Mizos, abducted by a group of armed Bru men about two months ago, were released and brought to a border village in Mamit district of Mizoram on Tuesday. Police said Sanglianthanga, a taxi driver, and Lalzamliana, a truck driver, were believed to have been taken to Bangladesh by the captors after being abducted on November 23.

Though both of them were set free, another abducted person Deep Mondal is yet to be released. Sanglianthanga, Lalzamliana and Mondal were abducted when they were next to an anti-poaching camp at Chikha along Mizoram-Bangladesh-Tripura border in Mamit district.

The trio had been abducted by a group of Bru and suspected NLFT cadre. (PTI)
